I’m not sure how anyone can be a troll towards Kris Bryant. The dude won the NL Rookie of the Year award, followed it up with the NL MVP award, then arguably had a better statistical season in 2017 than 2016 – all the while looking pretty. But apparently, someone found some time and something to put Bryant on blast about.

Seems innocent enough, right? Bryant was just out, enjoying a round of golf with a pro golfer, in the offseason. A time when professional baseball players have been known to go on vacations, spend time with family and friends, and sometimes, yes sometimes, play a round of golf or two.

Well, apparently bighig44 isn’t a fan of pro athletes enjoying their personal time in the offseason. I guess instead of playing a round of golf, Kris should be in the weight room building up body mass so he can be more like Aaron Judge or Giancarlo Stanton.

Bryant was pretty quick to respond.

I don’t know how you can complain about Bryant or anything he has done since coming into the league. He has worked incredibly hard to reduce his strikeout totals, cutting them down from 199 in 2015 to 128 in 2017. He has increased his average from .275 to .295 and has increased his OBP from .369 to .409.

With three seasons in, he has a 19.7 career WAR, which has paced the Cubs roster since he has been here.

Maybe bighig44 is a professional personal trainer? Maybe he’s secretly worked with other sluggers in baseball? Or maybe he’s just tossing sour grapes on the interwebs in hopes that someone pays attention to him?

I would bet the latter.
