Update on the Jason Heyward Injury

OH NO! Is what I thought as I saw the Chicago Cubs Jason Heyward crash into the right field wall after making an unbelievable play on Denard Span’s long blast. In case you missed the play, 120 Sports has your back.

Looked horrific, but spectacular at the same time, didn’t it? Anyways, here is the update from the Cubs.

Just how good of a play did Heyward make? Well the Chicago Tribune’s Phil Rogers had this nugget.

Per StatCast, Denard Span's drive in first inning traveled 385 feet and was hit with 103 mph exit velocity. Heyward ran it down. Stunning.
