UPDATE: Kris Bryant Injury

In the first inning of the final game between the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs in Atlanta, Cubs superstar, Kris Bryant left the game with an apparent finger injury.

Bryant, who hit a double in the inning, was trying to advance to third on a ball the Braves catcher Tyler Flowers couldn’t handle. Being thrown out easily, Bryant’s hand was hung up on Johan Camargo’s cleats. Bryant, who immediately pulled his hand back in pain, laid on the ground for a moment before walking slowly to the Cubs dugout.

The Cubs slugger was immediately replaced by Tommy La Stella.

The Cubs have announced results are a sprained left pinkie. X-rays are negative, and he is day-to-day.

Just this season, susperstars Mike Trout, Carlos Correa, and now Kris Bryant have been injured on head first slides. This begs the question, should players stop sliding head-first? While I personally think the head-first slide is a valuable tool, others complain that it causes too many injuries.
