Hello and welcome to Chicago Style Sports, my new home for a social conversation on Chicago sports news. I have written on the Chicago sports scene for the better part of the last six years, and although there are thousands of places to find sports news, I pledge this blog will be different.
How will it be different you might be asking yourself? Well, by giving my readers a voice.
Today’s media sites share one-sided information with their readers, and although they are great resources for sports news, that arrangement is a one-way conversation in which the fan has little input into the conversation.
The goal of this site will always to encourage dialog among the fans, which will create a living sports blog in which all will contribute to. This will always keep things fresh, and through sharing your thoughts the readers get to impact the site.
Just how do you contribute? Through your social media accounts. As my publications are published through Facebook and Twitter, and you comment, those thoughts will then become part of that next story, often times providing the other side of the conversation.
My responsibility will be to provide though provoking information, and the readers responsibility will be to share their thoughts.
Easy peasy, right?
