Write for Chicago Style Sports
Do you have a passion for Chicago sports? Have you been looking for a way to express your sports thoughts and opinions? Do you want to create the discussion instead of adding to it? Do you follow main stream sports media but don’t think they speak to your thoughts or opinions?
That’s what sports blogging is about, and Chicago Style Sports wants you!
We are currently looking for writers to focus on (but not limited to) the Chicago Bulls, Blackhawks, Bears, and White Sox and supply it to the 100’s of thousands of readers that visit our site monthly.
Responsibilities: The ability to produce unique content that is organically shared through various social media platforms. The content must create social conversation, which in turn builds your brand and allows readers to become your fans. We expect the writer to focus on a particular team, however as viral or breaking news happens, or if the candidate presents an unique idea, you would be tasked with writing for other teams/sports.
Requirements: Must display an understanding of writing for social media. Willingness to follow multiple Facebook fansites (particularly focusing on your team of focus), and be willing to share the content to those pages. Must show the ability to find content, and create your own voice. The ideal writer will have a well built Twitter network. Have the ability to write a minimum of 10 articles per month. Most importantly, a general knowledge of literary rules and ability to create content free of grammatical errors.
Compensation: You will be compensated based upon your efforts and ability to draw readers.
