According to Ken Rosenthal, the Chicago Cubs land their ultra utility man.

Zobrist has reportedly signed a four year $56 million deal to come to Chicago, and while we have heard for several hours that he had been considering between the Cubs and the New York Mets, perhaps the final decision came down to his familiarity with Cubs manager Joe Maddon, and the closeness to his hometown (Eureka, IL.).

There has been rumors throughout the afternoon that a coinciding move trading Cubs second baseman Starlin Castro will happen next, most likely to the New York Yankees.
