This is suppose to be a huge season for Chicago Bears No. 1 receiver Alshon Jeffery. The team already dealt lightning rod (often for the wrong reasons) Brandon Marshall in the offseason, and the best next option on the roster is Eddie Royal.
This is why fans were a bit scared when they saw Alshon wasn’t playing last night, and the news of him being in a walking boot were even more unsettling.
No sign of #Bears WR Alshon Jeffery and I'm told he was in a walking boot before the game. We will see if John Fox gives details.

So everyone was anxiously awaiting the news of how long Jeffery would be out, hoping for the best, fearing for the worst.
Bears' WR Alshon Jeffery is expected to miss about one week with his mild calf strain, per a source — good news for Chicago.

Whew, only a week. It is still a little troublesome that the Bears top target is injured, and will be missing a week of work, especially since the starters dodnt look overly impressive in Thursday night’s game.
Stay tuned for more info as injury details emerge.
