This is why many fans wish the “McCaskey’s” would sell the team, now worth $2.7 billion, hoping to get owners that have a passion for winning rather than a family interested in maintaining a revenue stream. Bears’ fans long for owners like the “Ricketts” with the Chicago Cubs on the lakefront. A fan first, with the desire for winning, that will pull all the right strings to ensure they will win.
While there are no guarantees to winning, fans continue to call for the heads of everyone in the Bears organization – which tends to happen with a 3-13 team. The three win season marks the worst record the Bears have had in a 16 game schedule, and it appears the team is standing pat with head coach John Fox and general manager Ryan Pace. This has only enraged the fans even more, causing more and more of them to call for the selling of the Bears franchise.
The NFL needs the Bears to be great again. And for that to happen, we need the McCasky family to sell the team.
