In what is a bit of an upset to Los Angeles Dodgers fans, Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs has taken home the prestigious award.
Late Tuesday night I, through multiple voters insight, let fans know that Jake had indeed won the award. Many responded back saying straight out, Arrieta’s superhuman finish to the season is what propelled him past both Greinke and his teammate, Clayton Kershaw.
Jake was unstoppable down the stretch, owning a 12-1 record with a 0.75 ERA in the second half. This is why many gave him the nod over Greinke.
Congrats to Jake on a phenomenal season!
