And Just Like That – BOOM – Kris Bryant Agrees to a One-Year Contract
Whew, so just as I hit publish on my Javier Baez, arb-avoiding deal, Kris Bryant and the Chicago Cubs have now agreed upon a one-year pact avoiding arbitration as well.
Source: The Cubs have reached agreements with Kris Bryant ($12.9 million) and Javier Baez ($5.2 million), avoiding arbitration hearings against two of their biggest stars.

This is great news as the Cubs and Bryant did not want to go to arbitration. This is a nasty process which teams tear apart players, and it can often leave lasting wounds once their contract comes up.
So the Cubs have now officially agreed to terms with every arbitration eligible player, and will now look to the rest of free agency to fill out their roster.
