Cubs Acquired Washington Nationals Pitcher – Kintzler
Both Ken Rosenthal and Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic are reporting that the Chicago Cubs are nearing a deal for a Washington Nationals reliever Brandon Kintzler.

And now Jon Morosi has confirmed that the Cubs have acquired the Nationals reliever. Details to come.
Kintzler has a 3.59 ERA in 45 appearances in 2018. He has spent some time as a closer and in other high-leverage situations. He isn’t a difference-maker, but will eat innings, which this pen needs at this point.
