Cubs to Call Up an Unknown 3B Prospect from Double-A Tennessee

Im not entirely sure what the Chicago Cubs are thinking here, a relatively unknown third base prospect, who has only two games at Double-A Tennessee is being called up on Wednesday.

Yes, that’s right, the Cubs Kris Bryant (or should I say Smokies) will return from the DL on Wednesday.

‘‘He had a good day,’’ manager Joe Maddon said. ‘‘We hoped it would be able to work out this way, and it looks like it’s going to.’’

Wednesday will be, as Gordon Wittenmyer mentions, the first time Bryant and Anthony Rizzo will be in the lineup together since June 22nd. I have a feeling this team is about to take off offensively.

    1. Thanks! Be surprised how many don’t understand it’s a joke…
