Cubs in Deep Talks for a Starting Pitcher

We spoke about it just days ago, and now that smoke is turning into fire. The Chicago Cubs and Tampa Bay Rays are talking about possible swap of Jorge Soler for starting pitcher, Chris Archer.

The Rays would also receive one (or two) of the following; 2B/OF Ian Happ, OF Eloy Jimenez, P Dylan Cease, P Duane Underwood.

There are several other teams also bidding on Archer, including the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros. Both teams have several prospects to include, and the Braves are gearing their fan base up for a new stadium.

Baseball’s Winter Meetings are certainly in full swing, and the Hot Stove League is blazing!
