This game also features a pair of left-handers, perhaps the most underrated pitcher over the past five seasons, Jose Quintana and the most overrated pitcher in baseball (slow down, he’s the best in the game and perhaps top 5 all time), Clayton Kershaw.
Remember, the Dodgers are without superstar shortstop, Corey Seager. The Cubs made a roster change of their own in removing Justin Wilson in favor of Hector Rondon. Some thought with the left-handed power of the Dodgers, Wilson would have been a good matchup option. But with a guy like Mike Montgomery, who is great against right handed batters, and provides the lefty-lefty matchup, could handle threatening innings himself.
Game 1 of the NLCS begins at 7:08 PM Central Standard Time.
