Cubs LANDED HIM

Whether the Cubs work out a deal in the next couple minutes or not, the Chicago Cubs and the Detroit Tigers were really close to a deal for Tigers star Nick Castellanos, per Bruce Levine.

At one point Cubs and Detroit were close to dealing Nick Castellanos for minor league catcher Jhonny Pereda .

Nick Castellanos was on deck and was called back into the dugout. Seconds later Bow Tie tweeted this nugget!!!

The Cubs landed Castellanos. He will platoon with multiple outfield spots and will mostly hit against lefties. Nick was leading the AL in doubles at the time of the trade.
