Must See! Possibly the First, and Best Bat Flip Ever
So you thought the bat flip was some new aged, show the pitcher up sorry of thing.
WRONG!
Turns out Mickey Mantle just might have had the first, and best bat flip ever!
Fans tend to have strong opinions on the bay flip, on both sides of the argument.
People like Texas Rangers reliever Sam Dyson had this to say after the now infamous, Jose Bautista bat flip from the playoffs.
“He’s doing stuff that kids do in whiffle ball games and backyard baseball,” Dyson said. “It shouldn’t be done.”
These “purists” don’t like it because it puts the attention on the single player, and not the team, and it shows up the pitcher.

Others think, if you don’t like it… get the guy out.
I’ve (bat) flipped to not minding the flip. Sure maybe Bautista’s was a bit much, but who cares really. We wouldn’t have gotten gold like this.
Changed my mind, that was the best bat flip ever.
