I absolutely love Kyle Long. He’s that dude that is mean on the field. First to stick up for a teammate, first to chew a teammate’s ass when he is slacking, first to raise his hand when his play needed to improve. Now, Long might be done as a Chicago Bear.

The Chicago Bears are heavily considering the option of putting Long on the “IR” which would shelf him up until week 14. If he isn’t healthy before the end of the season, this move could effectively end Long’s career as a Bear.

This sucks, while the business decision makes sense, and he hasn’t had a great season, this dude has poured his heart and soul into Chicago Bears football and for this city since he has been here. I get it, and with the Bears being able to save $8.1 million in 2020 if they waive him, the decision still sucks. Olin gets it.

Long has been, statistically, the worst Bears lineman in 2019 with a 39.0 grade per PFF. With injuries that have ended several seasons now, this very well could end Long’s career.

This sucks, but I hope to find you mashing away at the keyboard or controller on Twitch.
