SOURCE: Cubs Ink Kris Bryant to New Contract, Beats Mike Trout
You would be hard pressed to find someone who legitimately says Kris Bryant is better than Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout – but the Chicago Cubs just did with dollars! Per league sources, Kris Bryant has agreed to a one – year deal with the Cubs worth $1.05 million.

This beats Mike Trout’s record $1 million deal, which was a then record for first time (or pre-first time) arbitration eligible players.
Funny thing, Jon Heyman was all over the Cubs for their poor handling of young players contracts (see Bryant two years ago). Now he rubs their ego with their more recent handling of deals.
I see you Jonny.
