Surprise Name Left Off Cubs Playoff Roster
One of the mainstays in the Chicago Cubs bullpen over the past five years has been left off the playoff roster. Hector Rondon, who had been the Cubs closer up until they traded for Aroldis Chapman at the 2016 trade deadline, has been left off of the team’s NLDS roster. Instead, the Cubs elected to add another outfielder in Leonys Martin, the speedy outfielder.
There were some questions on whether Tommy La Stella or Justin Wilson would make the roster as well. Tommy had proved to be an extremely valuable bat off the bench, and locked a spot when the team elected to run with 11 pitchers. Wilson surprises many, since he wasn’t exactly impressive since coming to Chicago. But with the Nationals big lefties, it will be important to be able to matchup late in games. Many disagree, but he will provide some big outs in high-leverage situations before he leaves this team.

I personally think Rondon is more effective than Wilson.
I couldn’t agree more! Wilson has shown me nothing since coming to the Cubs and I shake my head at this decision. If he can’t get an out then how is he going to help us??
