VIDEO: Kris Byant FULL Interview Discussing Trade Rumors, Dealing with Rumors, Dismissing Dumb Questions
Watching Chicago Cubs All Star, Kris Bryant address the trade rumors was depressing to watch. Here’s a dude that has never wavered from saying he wants to be a Cub for life and he’s staring down what could be his last days in a Cubs uniform. Then he has to listen to a dumb question from ESPN’s Jesse Rogers, asking if he thinks about if he plays better to attract more teams. He (Jesse) is becoming a straight-up clown.
That was Bryant’s quip back to Rogers…
First impression, he wasn’t feeling this today. He must have had a mandatory appearance today, and kudos to Kris for going out there and being open, honest, and addressing everything thrown his way. What pisses me off about this whole thing is, if the Cubs, ever approached him with a real offer – not some hypothetical overture – but real paper, the Cubs wouldn’t be in this situation. He would be locked up, he would be a Cub for the foreseeable future, and we – more importantly, he and his family – wouldn’t be going through this BS right now.
