Cubs and Kyle Hendricks Agree to Deal
The Chicago Cubs and pitcher Kyle Hendricks have agreed to a deal, avoiding arbitration.
#Cubs and Kyle Hendricks avoid arbitration, signing for $4.175 million. Four more to go: Bryant, Russell, Grimm, La Stella

Kyle has a 38 and 22 record and a 2.94 ERA with the Cubs. This was his first year facing arbitration. The Cubs still have Addison Russel, Tommy La Stell, Justin Grimm, and Kris Bryant that are eligible for arbitration. I wrote yesterday about Bryant’s case, and with Josh Donaldson signing a record $23 million deal avoiding arbitration, Kris is likely to push the $10MM record set by Ryan Howard.
