Aaron Rodgers Sucks! Officially Worst Starter in Football

Aaron Rodgers Sucks!

Face it, Chicago Bears fans have had quarterback envy since Jim McMahon lead ‘Da Bears’ to a title in 1985. This is why we need to savor the fact the Jay Cutler is performing far better than the Green Bay Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

Over the past nine weeks Rodgers has an 81.1 QB rating, the worst rating among all NFL starting quarterbacks. Here are his stats over that time.

195 completions
346 attempts
56%
15 TD
5 INT
2039 passing yards
5.89 yards per attempt
10.45 per completion
81.1 rating

Biggest stat of them all… the Packers are 4-5 over that stretch.

Now, of course if you look at the full body of work Rodgers is vastly better than Cutler, and has possibly been the best QB in football over the past five seasons. That doesn’t get him off the hook for this horrendous 2015 campaign. That certainly doesn’t get the Packers out of their recent turmoil which seems to have the team fighting internally.

Rodgers has seen some bad stretches in the past, but a simple message of R-E-L-A-X doesn’t seem to be enough to pull the team out of this funk. With another costly loss this past week against the Arizona Cardinals, the Packers have a vital showdown with the Minnesota Vikings with the division crown on the line.

There might not be a lot of panic buttons being pushed in Green Bay, well as far as Rodgers is concerned, but Aaron is on pace to have his worst season since taking over the job from Brett Favre. His completion percentage (60.4%) is down from his career mark of 65.1, his yardage will be the lowest in his career (outside of the injury shortened 2013 season), and he is on pace for his lowest QB rating since being anointed the next great Packer signal caller.

Sure all this means is he will go out in Week-17, pass for 450 yards, 6 TDs, and complete 90% of his passes… But right now, today… the Bears have a better quarterback than the Packers do, and damn it feels good.

  1. It’s pretty sad for Bear fans when all you can crow about is another teams quarterback having a tough season.
