A White Sox Fan is Taunting the Houston Astros With a Megaphone and I’m Here for it

No one in baseball forgets the cheating scandal orchestrated by the Houston Astros. No one forgets the slap on the wrist “punishment” the organization received. No one forgets the assholiness in which the Asstros faced the media this spring.

Because of the sign-stealing scandal, many fans have been extremely harsh on the Asstros all season. We have also rejoiced in the lack of success we’ve seen from the club throughout the regular season. But, in 2020, and apparently 2020 trying to do what 2020 will do, the Asstros found their way into the ALCS. Not only were they in the ALCS, but they were also a single win away from making it to the World Series.

This is why when a Chicago White Sox fan taunting the Asstros it got a ton of attention.

The New York Times reported him as saying;

“Attention: Members of the Houston Astros organization that participated in the sign-stealing scandal of 2017 and 2018. You all are a bunch of cheaters. The global baseball community has not forgotten your transgressions against the game.”

The fan, Tim Kanter who even though being a White Sox fan, I’ll buy him a round or two if I see him in a Chicago pub. He was able to do what 29 other fanbases wanted to do to the Houston Astros this season. Even though the poor regular season performance could have been enough, I think fans across baseball really wanted to express their dissatisfaction with the Houston organization – and Major League Baseball – since the news broke in late-2019.

Apparently, Kanter did some math to figure out what kind of megaphone he should get to ensure the players would be able to hear his taunts. When telling his friends of his plans, they all chipped in and they bought the $200 megaphone.

It apparently worked as several times throughout the games, media confirmed Jose Altuve would turn and look at him after his taunts.

I know this is petty, I understand that we’re crying over spilled milk. But DAMN does it feel nice to know someone got to voice their frustrations towards the Houston Cheetos this year.
