BREAKING: David Ross to Become the Cubs Next Manager

This might be the most anti-climatic news to some, and the most devastating news to others. But, the Chicago Cubs will name David Ross as their next manager per Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.

If you’ve read the tea leaves, this was something that was hinted at from the beginning of the 2018 season. As soon as the Cubs refused to talk about an extension with Joe Maddon, Ross’ name began to come up as the replacement.

Over the next 24 months, nothing really changed that thought. Now, Thursday, David Ross will take the helm as the next manager of the Chicago Cubs.
