BREAKING: The Cubs Traded Kris Bryant and Miguel Amaya to the Braves

The trade talks have been mostly quiet, especially when it comes to Kris Bryant and the Chicago Cubs since COVID-19 concerns. But very early this morning, Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer agreed to trade Kris Bryant (3B) and Miguel Amaya (C) to the Atlanta Braves for Christian Pache (CF), Kyle Wright (RHP), Kyle Muller (LHP) and a PTBNL.

Many believed that after the Cubs weren’t able to trade Bryant this winter, they were focusing on competing with him and possibly make a run at signing him this offseason. It was rumored that the Cubs were asking a ton from other teams in any trade for Bryant, and they received just that with Pache (Braves top prospect and MLB’s 13th overall), Wright (Braves 3rd best prospect and 52nd overall), and Muller (Atlanta’s 8th best prospect).

We will continue to update as we hear more. Till then, here are some Bryant highlights.

If you couldn’t already tell, yes this is an April Fool’s gag.
