Cubs Brewers Game 9 of 162

Well here we go. This will end the third series of the season, and after today the Cubs will make their way south about 90 miles to finally play at home. Here’s the series finale lineup.

So we have Ben Zobrist in right as the red hot Jason Heyward shifts to center. Daniel Descalso remains in at second, and I have a feeling he’s going to get more and more starts, similar to Jon Jay did in 2017.

Hopefully today we see Kris Bryant come out of it. Pitchers have been beating him up outside, and the more surprising part is those pitches have been inside the zone. He’s going to have to push balls the other way, with consistency before another MLB pitcher challenges him with a pitch he can really do damage with. Bryant is currently hitting .443 with 2 HR against Zach Davies.

Here is the Cubs results vs Davies.

Kyle Hendricks looks to rebound from a shotty performance in Atlanta, where his overall numbers don’t look at bad as they were due to the Cubs inability to catch a ball.

Here is how Kyle fares against the Brewers.
