Donald Trump Threatens the Ricketts Family
So it didn’t take too long for the political scene to hit the Chicago Cubs ownership in 2016. A family that was questioned about some of their donations to the highly questionable political Super PACs in the past, have finally gotten the attention of polarizing republican candidate, Donald Trump. Apparently because of a donation to a Super PAC which doesn’t cozy up to the loud and brash Trump. In fact, through Twitter Trump threatens the Ricketts family because of the PAC.
I hear the Rickets family, who own the Chicago Cubs, are secretly spending $'s against me. They better be careful, they have a lot to hide!

Trump is currently the front runner for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination. While he has gained wild popularity from some within the party, his larger than life personality, and incredibly loose cannon style has turned many from within the party and outside of it off.
WGN has confirmed that the Rickett that is responsible for the donation is the wife of Joe Ricketts (founder of TD Ameritrade), Marlene Ricketts. She has donated $3 million to the Super PAC Our Principles PAC which has attacked Trump. They describe their method as follows.
“Our Principles PAC has focused on conservative principles and ensuring that voters have the necessary information to make a wise decision on Election Day.”
While it has appeared that Trump has bullied his way this far into his candidacy, there should be a point in which the ludicrous, over the top behavior must set-side. The continued threats towards anyone who opposes him doesn’t show the American people, other parties, or other countries that we would be willing to negotiate on any level if he were to actually win the nomination.
In previous run-ins with those opposing the Ricketts family and their political influences, the Cubs ownership was quick to reveal that those sponsors were from their parents (Joe or now Marlene) in an effort to remain neutral in a political scene. While the family may only own the Cubs because of the money from Ameritrade, the Tom and the other siblings are probably smart to stay out of family politics when in the heavily democratic city of Chicago.
