File Under Neat Idea: Cubs Charities on Gameday

If you’ve ever visited a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field, you have certainly seen the 50/50 raffles for Cubs Charities. In 2020, with no fans in the stands, Cubs Charities was certainly going to have a lack of funds.

Every year, Cubs Charities helps the youth of Chicago play the game of baseball or softball, helps with health and fitness programs for kids, helps with learning and educational opportunities, and has given more than $22 million to The McCormick Foundation and Cubs Care. A great deal of the funds come through donations through the 50/50 raffle at Wrigley Field 81 times a season.

So you could see that the organization could suffer a bit.

So, this year the Chicago Cubs and Cubs Charities will be doing a virtual 50/50 raffle on gamedays of home games. This raffle is open from 11 AM on the day of a game up until the end of that day’s game. There are some legal restrictions, so I would visit the Cubs Charities website for more information.
