Bat flips, flash, flare, emotions – baseball in 2018 isn’t your grandpa’s baseball – and that’s a good thing. Ken Griffey Jr changed the way baseball players were allowed to act when he came up. His passion and energy, his joyful exuberance was evident in everything he did. Players today have taken that passion and have run with it. Chicago Cubs fans see it daily in Javier Baez and how he plays the game, but almost all of today’s brightest stars bring their own flare.

This video celebrates that flare.
