Kimbrel Potentially to Dodgers!? Luxury Tax Be Damned
Nothing is set just yet, but Bruce Levine just tweeted that the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers are discussing a potential Craig Kimbrel trade. In return, top pitching prospects Ryan Pepiot and Bobby Miller could come back.
Dodgers and Cubs discussing Kimbrel. Top young Dodger pitching prospects being discussed. Pepiot and Miller two RHP of interest.

Miller is the Dodgers’ No. 5 prospect, while Pepiot is their No. 7 prospect. While everything is noise until it happens, Levine was hot on the trail of the Anthony Rizzo to the New York Yankees news about a week before it happened.
There is also an indication that the Cubs could be working an insane multiple team deal, which could include Kris Bryant, Javier Baez, Zach Davies, and Kimbrel. This would likely take nearly all day to figure out, and I’m not confident that there can be that much logistical maneuvering done with so little time left before the deadline.
There is some buzz about potential multi-team deals that one exec said would be "pretty chaotic" if they came to fruition. Thinking teams with multiple players to deal (such as the Cubs with Bryant/Baez/Kimbrel/Davies) could try to orchestrate a multi-team trade to fill needs.
