Video: Kyle Hendricks Loses No-Hitter
In a series which could be St. Louis’ last chance to make a statement, and keep the Northsiders from clinching on their home field, Kyle Hendricks came out dealing against the Cardinals. Kyle would have become the second Cubs pitcher to ever no-hit the Cardinals, the first was Don Cardwell in 1960. It was his first career start.
Kyle was dealing from the beginning, striking out 7 and walking only 2 on 96 pitches. He only had a couple of dangerous plays, including these.

And then of course there was the blast that broke it all up.
The question now is, does his no-hitter leap frog him to the top of the Cy Young list? We think so.
