Rajon Rondo Blew Up! SHOTS FIRED BULLS
Oh, wow. I have no words, but Rajon Rondo certainly does.
Rando fired back at Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade for airing the team’s grievances to the media and social media. WOW did he fire back. Here is what Wade and Jimmy told the Chicago Tribune’s K.C. Johnson.
“I wish I could say that everyone in here is going to go home and not eat tonight. I can’t say that. I don’t know that they care enough,” Wade said. “Games are supposed to hurt. You’re not supposed to sleep. You’re not supposed to want to talk to anybody. I don’t know if that is in guys in this locker room. Hopefully, they can prove me wrong. But I will challenge them to see if losses like this hurt.
“We can play bad. We can miss shots. But we’re having too many of these lapses. This just can’t be acceptable if you want to do anything besides having an NBA jersey on and make some money. That’s all we’re doing right now.
“I’m not at home with people. But I don’t know if I see enough guys who really, really want it. I’m 35 years old. I have three championships. It shouldn’t hurt me more than it hurts these young guys. They have to want it.
“If they don’t want it, then we’ll show up and play Friday. Hopefully, we’ll win. If we don’t, then we go to dinner again and keep it going until the season is over. It has to change. It has to hurt inside to lose games like this. This (expletive) should (expletive) hurt.”
Jimmy added…
“If you don’t come in this (expletive) pissed off after you lose any game, something is wrong,” he said. “This is your job. This is what you’re supposed to love to do, and I don’t think that everybody looks at it that way. I want to play with guys who care, guys who play hard, who want to do well for this organization, who want to do whatever it takes to win.
“Who cares who is shining? When we’re winning, everybody looks great,” Butler continued. “We don’t play hard enough. This is your job. I want to play with guys who care.”
The Chicago Bulls certainly seem like a team that is in shambles. Wade had recently said he will bounce if things don’t improve. The only real glimmering light is Butler, and honestly he is better suited as a trade chip than a chance to win a championship.
How would you fix the Bulls?
Trade Rondo?
Mix up the lineups?
Fire the coach?
