Rumor: Cubs and Braves in Advanced Talks for a Bryant Trade
I have tossed and turned about even writing this, but I figured I’d put it out there. Hell, maybe I’ll delete this before its published. I’m hearing some interesting rumors on a Chicago Cubs trade involving Kris Bryant to the Atlanta Braves.
So, back about this time in 2018 a friend of mine told me that Yu Darvish had just informed his family that he was signing with the Cubs. He told me to not do or say anything publicly, but I did reach out to someone else I know. Within about an hour or so they were able to confirm the same story I had just heard, but I didn’t feel comfortable posting it publicly as I’m not the breaking news guy.
Well today the person that confirmed the Darvish news confirmed some Kris Bryant news. Per him, the Cubs are in advanced trade talks which would send Bryant to the Braves for several players, mostly centered around pitching.
Now again, this person has told me some small things that ended up to be true. Confirmed the Darvish news, and today has also confirmed Bryant news. I don’t know if it is true, I’m not reporting as hard fact. This is just what I was told. In fact, I wa as more so fishing info on the San Diego Padres calling the Cubs now that the Mookie Betts deal is done, and it’s all turned into this.
