I knew this would happen as soon as I wrote it, but Major League Baseball will be suspending operations until further notice.

Not only will Spring Training be suspended, but the start of the regular season will be pushed back as well.
After a conference call among owners this afternoon, Major League Baseball is expected to suspend spring training. The league likely will delay the beginning of the regular season as well. At this point, it's a formality that ownership-level sources expect to happen.

As I mentioned previously, expect baseball to start late. I would assume that the 2020 baseball season will be around 140 games, and wouldn’t surprise me if it is closer to 125 games. This is an epidemic. I don’t want to freak people out, but we need to be careful. Be careful all. Be careful.
On the bright side… maybe Marquee and Comcast can figure this thing out before the start of the season?
