I cheer for both the Cubs and the Sox. I never bought that crap that you cannot follow both teams. I just love baseball. I’ve coached high school baseball for 35 years. With that said, the reaction to the injury of Schwarber is simply disturbing and disgusting. This is a young man who gives his all when he walks between those foul lines. Out of ignorance people lose sight of two very import things – 1. that he’s more than a baseball player, he’s a real person; 2. baseball is just a game. You can cheer for whomever you want, that’s the beauty of being an American. However, hate and ill will should be below all of us.
