WATCH: 103 Up, 103 Down: No One in Chicago is Able to Kick a 43-Yard Field Goal

Goose Island made a lot of very strong assertions when they went off on “armchair kickers” that criticized Chicago Bears kicker, Cody Parkey for missing a 43-yeard field goal which would have sent the team to the next round of the playoffs. Goose Island then challenged fans to come down and attempt a 43-yard FG, and they bet heavily that no one would hit it.

The kick-off happened Saturday morning, in a snowy day in Chicago. While some fans certainly complained about conditions (NFL kickers kick in all conditions BTW) there wasn’t a single person that made a field goal or even hit an upright.

In fact, many had a hard time hitting the ball over a fence that was about 10 yards away.

The first kicker, apparently a Fenwick football alum, slipped and fell, and the ball almost ricocheted off the fence to hit him in his embarrased face.

There was a man in a Brad Maynard jersey that jacked a ball just left, and another couple that kicked the ball straight, but well short. Outside of that, apparently there isn’t a single kicker in the city of Chicago that can make a 43-yarder with anything on the line.

Here is the Periscope video of the event.

While no one makes a kick, it’s a pretty hilarious watch.
